Speaker: Dr. Heather Kharouba (University of Ottawa) Where: L-GE 110 | When: 1:15 pm “Climate Change and the Timing of Species Interactions” Abstract: My overarching research focus is how and why species are responding to global change and what those responses mean for ecological communities. We integrate lab experiments, field surveys, data synthesis and modelling to understand the factors that structure species’ distributions, phenologies and interactions. Recently, our work has demonstrated that there has been widespread shifts in the timing of species interactions over recent decades. However, it remains difficult to understand the consequences of those shifts for communities and ecosystems. Photos By: Arun Dayanandan Comments are closed.
